Duhaime, Herman Charles, Corporal, 32nd Reg., 7th Infantry Div., US Army. Killed in action while fighting the enemy on December 2, 1950 at Chosin Reservoir, North Korea (Korean War). Mative of New London, Conneticutt.

Duhaime, Jean Louis, Sergeant, Royal Canadian Army Peacekeeper. Killed at the age of 36 in Korea on July 13, 1955. Buried in the Commonwealth War Cemetery in Yokohama, Japan.

Duhaime, Louis Stephen, Hospital Corpman Third Class, United States Navy, Korean War (1950-1953). Born November 22, 1929. According to the Korean War Project:
"Killed in Action by multiple head wounds while tending his wounded comrades at Seoul, South Korea on September 22, 1950."

Duhaime, Nelson. Member of the Alberta Regiment, Canadian Infantry, from Huntington, Quebec, killed in action on May 3, 1917 at the age of 21 at Vimy Ridge, France.
Duhaime, Pierre - appointed May 6, 2009 President and CEO of the Canadian engineering and construction giant SNC Lavalin.
Duhaime, Yves (Shawinigan)- lawyer and former separatist politician (Parti Quebecois). Member of the National Assembly of Quebec from 1976 to 1985 and served as Minister of Energy (1981-1984) Minister of Finance (1984-1985).
Duhesme, Philibert-Guillaume (also spelled Duhem; 1766-1815). Born in the Saône-et-Loire region of France, he was a general with the French forces of Napoleon at Mont St. Jean during the Battle of Waterloo where he was killed in action on June 18, 1815 by Brunswick's hussars (light infantry). A street in Paris has been named after him.
Duhem, Pierre (1861-1916). Internationally recognized scientist. Born in Paris, he challenged Newton's laws and gave his name to the Quine-Duhem Theory which postulates that a finite number of observations might nonetheless lend itself to an infinite number of explanations. Duhem was an early proponent that physics was a separate branch of science.
Duhem, Pierre-Joseph (1758-1807). Doctor from Lille, France, was an enthusiastic supporter of the French Revolution and the end of the French monarchy. He survived the guillotine even though he staunchly opposed Maximillien Robespierre. But he had to flee France to escape a warrant for his arrest and lived the rest of his days in Mainz, Germany where he died of natural causes at the age of 49.

Lemaitre-Duhaime, François, lord of the Dumontiers estate (fief), Yamachiche, Québec.He bought it from Dumontiers' hiers on February 10, 1762, before notary public Louis Pillard. But he couldn't hold onto it and was forced to sell it in 1764.
Lemaître, Georges (1894-1966). A Belgian priest, physicist and cosmologist. He was the first to postulate the Big Bang theory of the universe, and that the universe is expanding, both theories now widely accepted, including by Albert Einstein (pictured with Einstein, circa 1935). Before he was educated at Cambridge, Georges Lemaître was a soldier with the French in the First World War, where he received the Military Cross.
